Platts proposes to launch Bisphenol-A (BPA) NWE DDP assessment Dec 1

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is proposing the launch of a new daily DDP NWE bisphenol-A assessment, effective Dec. 1.

The proposed assessment would complement Platts existing assessments for bisphenol-A feedstocks phenol and acetone in Northwest Europe.

Under this proposal, Platts would start assessing polycarbonate grade BPA on a daily basis while providing a weekly commentary and rationale on Tuesdays.

The assessment would reflect the product with the following specifications:

Appearance: White prill

Water content (wt %): 0.1% max

Phenol content: 100 ppm max

Laycan: 3-30 days forward delivery

Basis: DDP NWE

Location: Northwest Europe (Eur/mt)

Quantity: 20-25 mt

All market information reported to Platts may be considered and would be published daily, including firm bids and offers, trades and indicative values, as well as any other data deemed relevant to the assessment process.
