In the Asia iron ore commentary published in the July 5 edition of SBB Steel Markets Daily, S&P Global Platts is removing the reference to Pilbara Blend Fines (PBF) and adding attribution for the comment on Mining Area C (MAC) Fines in the third paragraph.
The corrected commentary reads as follows: The greater affordability of MAC Fines appealed to several steelmakers, "even despite its weaker sintering properties" as one Tangshan mill source put it. The similarities and differences between grades of fines are subject to close analysis by steel mills, and different mills often value certain grades over another based on their own assessment of associated economics.
