Platts would like to remind market participants that Platts US Gulf Coast pipeline assessments reflect product moving on the Colonial Pipeline with input at Pasadena, Texas. Other injection points can be, and typically are, mutually agreed between buyers and sellers. Platts expects counterparties to be reasonable around nominations and not unreasonably reject alternative injection points. Sellers have the right to nominate alternative injection points, while the buyer has the obligation to accept a Pasadena nomination and to accommodate a reasonable alternative injection location. Buyers should not be exposed to additional, demonstrable harm, such as the loss of linespace history, as a result of alternative injection locations.
