Invenergy closes purchase of class A stake in 3 wind farms

An indirect subsidiary of Invenergy Investment Co. on April 29 completed thepurchase of class Apassive ownership stake in three wind projects from an investor group, accordingto a May 6 notice of consummation. Financial terms of the deal were notdisclosed.

The investor group is composed of ,Transamerica Life Insurance Co.and Transamerica Premier LifeInsurance Co.

The wind farms included in the deal were the 135-MWJudith Gap inWheatland County, Mont., which sells power to ; the 60-MWSpring Canyon Iin Logan County, Colo., which supplies electricity to subsidiary ;and the 64.5-MW WolverineCreek in Bonneville County, Idaho, which sells power to , a subsidiary.

Aside from the three wind projects, IWFC Holdings LLC alsoacquired a substation, an approximately 18-mile transmission line and relatedequipment that connect the Wolverine Creek project to PacifiCorp's transmissionsystem.

FERC had approved the transaction on April 15.

Invenergy Investment, a subsidiary of , will continue to ownindirect controlling interests in the facilities. (EC16-87)
