Founder's widow becomes TexStar Bancshares' majority owner

Barbara Rush, the widow of TexStar Bancshares Inc.'s recently deceased founder, Marvin Rush, is the bank holding company's new majority owner, the San Antonio Business Journal reported.

TexStar Bancshares is the holding company of TexStar National Bank.

TexStar Bancshares has 68 investors holding more than 1.4 million shares. Marvin Rush held 797,497 common shares, or about 56% of the bank's voting stock, as of December 2016, according to the San Antonio Business Journal. Barbara Rush will become a director in place of her husband.
