Mobilezone holding ag H2 profit climbs 41.8% YOY

mobilezone holding ag said its normalized net income for the second half came to 49 Swiss centimes per share, an increase of 41.8% from 34 centimes per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was CHF15.7 million, a gain of 41.8% from CHF11.0 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose year over year to CHF553.8 million from CHF211.4 million, and total operating expenses climbed year over year to CHF528.3 million from CHF193.4 million.

Reported net income rose 39.5% from the prior-year period to CHF20.3 million, or 63 centimes per share, from CHF14.6 million, or 45 centimes per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 77 centimes per share, a gain of 41.8% from 54 centimes per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was CHF24.7 million, a gain of 37.1% from CHF18.0 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew on an annual basis to CHF859.0 million from CHF388.6 million, and total operating expenses increased 127.8% year over year to CHF818.6 million from CHF359.4 million.

The company said reported net income increased 30.4% on an annual basis to CHF30.8 million, or 96 centimes per share, in the full year, from CHF23.6 million, or 71 centimes per share.
