The iBoxx USD Inverse Breakeven 10-Year Inflation is designed to measure the performance of USD-denominated breakeven inflation through short positions in U.S. 10-Year TIPS and long positions in 10-Year U.S. Treasury bonds. The index includes sovereign debt issued by the U.S. Treasury, with a minimum amount outstanding of USD 2 billion. Securities must have an initial time to maturity of 10 years at issuance and a remaining time to maturity of at least one year at rebalancing. The index must contain a total of six TIPS and at least six Treasury bonds at any point in time, with weight in any TIPS or Treasury bond not exceeding 30% at rebalance date. The nominal Gilt position is constructed in a way that the index duration is neutralized.
