The iBoxx USD Corporates Yield Plus Index is designed to measure the performance of higher-yielding, USD-denominated corporate bonds that were rated investment grade at inclusion. The index includes bonds with a minimum issue amount outstanding of USD 500 million and issuer amount outstanding of USD 1 billion. Bonds must have a minimum time to maturity of two years at inclusion, a remaining time to maturity of at least 1.25 years at rebalancing and a maximum average life of 25 years. Bonds must maintain a rating of at least BB- to remain in the index, with BB rated bonds limited to 20% of index weight. The index is classified into Financials and Non-Financials sectors, with individual sector weights capped at 50%. Additional constraints include a 20% cap on subordinated debt and emerging market country of risk, and a 2% issuer weight cap.
