Description
The S&P Kensho New Economies Composite Index is designed to measure the performance of companies involved in the New Economies 21st Century Sectors, including a dynamically adjusted list of companies drawn from all of the S&P Kensho Subsector Indices.
A broad market index within the S&P Kensho New Economy Index Series, the S&P Kensho New Economies Composite Index intends to represent companies that are focused on propelling the Fourth Industrial Revolution and fostering new industries that will be transformative. The composite index utilizes a proprietary quantitative weighting algorithm to track the individual S&P Kensho New Economy Subsector Indices in their lifecycle from nascent industries all the way through maturity. It strikes a unique balance between mainstream and cutting-edge companies as they shift their strategic focus to the 21st Century Sector technologies driving the rise of the New Economy.
