Silvia Kitchener
Director, Global Equity Indices, Latin America
Silvia Kitchener is Director, Global Equity Indices at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). As part of the Product Management group, Silvia covers global equity markets, including a wide variety of indices from broad benchmarks to investable indices.
Silvia has worked in the index industry for nearly 30 years. Her experience extends to designing, managing and promoting a wide range of indices that include the S&P and Dow Jones real estate family of indices, global benchmarks like the S&P World Index and the S&P Global BMI. She also has worked on factor, dividend, thematic, Islamic and sustainable indices.
Silvia was a member of the Index Committee from 2008 until her move to the product management team in 2012. She has been responsible for the development and management of a number of global and strategy indices, as well as monitoring index methodologies for enhancements to keep indices current and practical for investors.
Silvia graduated magna cum laude from the New York Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in communication art. She also has a master’s degree in information sciences from Columbia University.
