Carlos Mendizabal is Senior Analyst, Global and Thematic Equity Indices Product Management at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI), where he supports the design, development and management of innovative equity benchmarks. His focus spans global and thematic strategies, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, megatrends and client-centric solutions.
Before joining S&P DJI, he was an Investment Specialist at Nordea Asset Management, where he advised institutional clients on sophisticated equity strategies, combining deep market insight with tailored communication and portfolio analysis. His earlier experience includes roles as a Portfolio Manager and Equity Research Analyst for a Scandinavian-based investment boutique and as a Structured Derivatives Analyst at HSBC Global Markets, where he developed bespoke solutions for multinational clients.
Carlos holds a master’s degree in finance from BI Norwegian Business School and completed executive education in private markets investments at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He is also a CFA charterholder.
