iBoxx EUR Investment Grade Broad Credit Spread Widening Index

Description

The iBoxx EUR Investment Grade Broad Credit Spread Widening Index measures Euro credit spread changes by taking a long position in German sovereign bonds and a short position in broad EUR corporate investment grade bonds with adjacent durations. Eligible bonds must be denominated in Euros or legacy currencies, with a minimum amount outstanding of EUR 1 billion for sovereigns and EUR 500 million for EUR-issued corporate bonds or EUR 1 billion for legacy bonds converted from pre-EUR currencies. All bonds must maintain a minimum remaining time to maturity of at least one year at the rebalance date, with bonds having a remaining life of less than one year becoming ineligible. The index includes bonds whose cash flows can be determined in advance, excluding T-Bills, money market instruments and bonds with RD/SD ratings.
