S&P Capital IQ Pro Release Highlights
In this release, we added new datasets and tools on Capital IQ Pro, designed to enhance our client's daily workflows:
New Data Center Research Add-On : We introduced a new premium add-on that offers comprehensive access to our global data center database, industry forecasts, and research produced by 451 Research. Expanded Data Center Asset Coverage : We added over 8,500 operational facilities to our Real Estate collection, providing asset names, ownership, and location. Additional metrics like property size and power consumption are available with the premium Data Center Research add-on. Enhanced Power Plants Equipment Information : We enhanced our equipment Information for Power Plant units, providing insights into the different types of equipment used within a single power plant unit to generate power. U.S. Insurance Statutory Enhancements : Our U.S. Insurance Statutory offering now includes quarterly investment updates, incorporating new exhibits and disclosures for U.S. Insurance companies.

In this release, we introduced the new Data Center Research add-on within the S&P Capital IQ Pro platform, providing comprehensive access to Data Center Services and Infrastructure industry data and research produced by 451 Research, a technology research group part of S&P Global Market Intelligence.
New Data Center Research Add-on
Users subscribed to the Data Center Research premium add-on gain comprehensive access to our global data center database, industry forecasts, and research produced by 451 Research on the S&P Capital IQ Pro platform. A new homepage for Data Center Services & Infrastructure content serves as the entry point to the global database, research, industry forecasts, data center market profiles, capacity aggregates and mapping tools.

- Global database of Colocation, Wholesale and Hyperscale Data Centers

Enhanced Property Profile for Data Centers
Users subscribed to the Data Center Research add-on can access the Property Profile pages to view 100+ additional metrics per facility including property size, power consumption, Data Center campus information and services, geographies, research, certifications, system redundancy, utility information, and expansion potential.
Find it in the platform:
- Search for a company covering Data Centers properties from the top search e.g., Equinix, Inc.
- Navigate to Properties from the left-hand navigation
- Select Property Browser under Properties dropdown
- Click on any Data Center Property from the grid results to navigate to Property Profile page

Data Centers on Real Estate Screener
All users can use the Real Estate Screener to generate a list of data center facilities based on user-defined criteria. Users subscribed to the Data Center Research premium add-on will gain access to a dedicated Data Center folder within Screener with additional data points per facility, including space, power, and rack capacity metrics.
Find it in the platform:
- Navigate to Screener from top navigation or the Apps Menu
- Select Real Estate Screener from Industry & Asset Data
- Select Data Center as Primary Property Type
- Open the field selector and navigate to the Data Center folder

Data Center Mapping tool
All users can see Data Center facilities owned by public companies on the Mapping tool. Users subscribed to the Data Center Research add-on can locate these facilities by activating the Data Center layer on the Mapping tool. This enables users to visualize data centers alongside critical elements such as power plants, energy substations or transmission lines.

- Navigate to Maps from the top navigation or the Apps Menu
- Select Add Content > Media & Communications > Data Centers
- If you don’t have the add-on, go to Commercial Real Estate > Public Companies: Data Centers

Real Estate
In this release, we expanded coverage of Data Center assets including asset names, ownership, and location. Users subscribed to the premium Data Center Research add-on will have access to additional data and research metrics including data centers in development, property size and power consumption for each facility.New Data Center Facilities
All users can access an additional 8,500 Data Centers on the Property Browser, Property Summary and Geographic Exposure pages. In addition to the list and count of facilities, users subscribed to the Data Center Research add-on can access planned Data Centers, property size and power consumption metrics.
Find it in the platform:
- Navigate to Real Estate tab from the top navigation
- Select Property Summary under Key Workflows
- Select Data Center property type from the filters and click Apply
- Or Search for a company covering Data Centers properties from the top search e.g., Equinix, Inc
- Navigate to Properties from the left-hand navigation
- Select Property Browser under Properties dropdown

Energy
In this release, we expanded our Equipment Information for the Power Plant units on the S&P Capital IQ Pro platform, adding to our existing Turbine Information. This additional data will provide insights into the different types of equipment used within a single power plant unit to generate power, their respective models and manufacturers. The relevant fields can be accessed on the Power Plant profile and exported from the Power Plant Units Screener.Equipment Information on Power Plant Profiles
Energy users can now access different equipment types used to generate power in a single power plant unit. The power plant units page also lists the manufacturer and model of the relevant equipment.
Find it in the platform:
- Search for and select a Power Plant profile from the top search e.g., Windpark Altenbruch II
- Navigate to the Unit Details table which contains information on different units in a power plant
- Click on the magnifying glass icon to navigate to the power plant unit’s page
- Or Select Power Plant Units page in the left-hand navigation
- Navigate to Equipment Information to access multiple manufacturers' information for a single unit
- The Equipment Manufacturer(s) are shown for all types of Equipment and their models
- The quantity of equipment is only available for wind turbines, which is represented in the Number of Wind Turbines field
- This field also corresponds to the Equipment Manufacturer(s), Equipment Type(s) and Equipment Model(s)


Equipment Information on Project Details
Energy users can now find details on multiple equipment models used to generate power on a single power plant unit. They can also view the model's manufacturer on the Project Details page, under the Equipment Details table.

- Search for and select a Power Plant profile from the top search e.g., Windpark Altenbruch II
- Navigate to Project Details in the left-hand navigation
- Scroll down to the Equipment Details table
- The Equipment Manufacturer(s) and Equipment Model(s) fields now contain multiple data points for a single unit

Energy users can find the Equipment Manufacturer(s), Equipment Type(s), Equipment Model(s) and Number of Wind Turbines fields in the Power Plant Units Screener.

- Select Power Plant Units under Energy & Utilities
- Click on Add Criteria > Browse All
- Expand Unit Attributable Data > Unit Description to find Equipment Manufacturer(s), Equipment Type(s), Equipment Model(s) and Number of Wind Turbines


Insurance
In this release, we enhanced our U.S. Insurance Statutory offering on the S&P Capital IQ Pro platform with quarterly investment updates in line with the NAIC’s Principle-Based-Bond-Definition regulation update. These enhancements align with NAIC statutory filing updates, which introduce new exhibits and new disclosures for U.S. Insurance companies.
Bonds & Other Invested Assets
Users can access the updated Bonds Details and Other Invested Assets Details webpages, which feature new Asset Type and Issuer Type options in the dropdown menu within the filter section. These pages will now display updated Asset and Issuer Types once the 2025 Q1 quarterly data becomes available.

Users can access a new Asset Type and Issuer Type added for Bonds (Schedule D) and Other Invested Assets (Schedule BA) within Insurance Investment Holdings (US) and Insurance Investment Transactions (US) perspectives.

- Visible Alpha Estimates: We introduced Visible Alpha Estimates on S&P Capital IQ Pro and S&P Capital IQ Pro Plug-in, offering comprehensive consensus estimates and historical financials for 7,300+ companies across 170+ industries.
- Enhanced Private Company Data: We expanded coverage for Australian private companies, providing additional firmographics and financials for SMEs in Australia.
- Workflow Efficiencies: We added Headcount Data Grouping functionality in Screener to group data by country/region or primary industry for streamlined analysis and enhanced editing and saving features of investment research Saved Searches.

In this release, we added new datasets and tools on Capital IQ Pro designed to enhance your daily workflows:
- Private Markets: We introduced new Headcount Analytics data for over 4.3 million private companies. Headcount data and analytics can help users assess the size and growth trends of private companies and industries through the lens of the human capital or size of workforce for potential investment opportunities.
- Content Expansion: We expanded transaction valuations coverage to include estimated values for private company M&A deals and funding rounds, enhanced sector coverage for Insurance (incorporating the 2025 quarterly NAIC statutory filing updates), Banks & Credit Unions, Metals & Mining, and Media & Telecommunications.
- Market Data Enhancements: Term SOFR and Term SONIA Risk-Free rates are now part of Capital IQ Pro. Additionally, we integrated the Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI).
- Workflow Efficiencies: In Document Intelligence, we enabled ChatIQ, a Generative AI assistant, for Investment Research, facilitating deeper interaction and insights across a broader corpus of textual datasets.
- Enhancing Core Capabilities: We added a new interactive Stock Chart by integrating ChartIQ to offer improved performance, greater interactivity and relevancy, and improved customization options.
