Matthew BosrockExecutive Managing Director, Global Head of Developing Markets
Matthew Bosrock is Global Head of Developing Markets at S&P Global Ratings. He is responsible for the company’s developing markets businesses in Asia, Latin America, Emerging Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Matt is also the Asia-Pacific (ex-Japan) regional head, responsible for enhancing growth in this dynamic, fast-growing region. In addition, Matt has global responsibility for the company's Market and Franchise Development teams. He is a member of the S&P Global Ratings Executive Committee and chairs the enterprise-wide (S&P Global Ratings) Asia-Pacific Leadership Council.
Before joining S&P Global Ratings in 2014, Matt worked with small and mid-sized companies in the technology and consumer finance space to identify and execute growth strategies, including raising venture capital and private equity.
Matt also held a number of senior positions for HSBC over his 19-year tenure with the organization. Most recently, Matt was the Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer for HSBC, Canada. In addition, he held senior leadership roles for HSBC in Europe, Africa and Asia.
Matt is a member of the China Advisory Board for the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business. He is also a member of the Global Advisory Board for Education Africa.
Matt holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston College and a master of business administration degree from Duke University.
