Chief Information Officer
Krishna Nathan joined S&P Global in May 2016 as Chief Information Officer. In this role, he is spearheading the creation and implementation of a firm-wide technology and data roadmap to accelerate growth and performance, an essential part of our long-term vision for S&P Global. Central to this is enhancing the Company’s digital footprint and finding innovative ways to use data to expand its products, services and delivery platforms and create new value for customers. Dr. Nathan brings to this role a breadth of experience in navigating the changing technology landscape combined with deep domain knowledge acquired through extensive work leading research and development teams.
Dr. Nathan joined the Company from IBM where he was Vice President of Systems, responsible for the development and execution of the research strategy and activity in a variety of areas such as next generation data centers, cognitive systems design, security and a range of future Systems technologies. Since joining IBM in 1991, he has held a wide variety of leadership positions, both corporate and business-aligned, spanning the U.S. and Europe.
Dr. Nathan holds a Ph.D. in engineering from Brown University and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
