Senior Analyst, Research & Design ESG Indices
Barbara Velado is Senior Analyst, responsible for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Research & Design at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). She works with S&P DJI’s ESG Product Management team to ensure the R&D elements of ESG innovations align with Product Management, market, and client objectives.
Barbara joined S&P DJI in 2020 in her current role to further expand and contribute to S&P DJI’s ESG capabilities. Previously, she completed a vacation scheme at KPMG UK on the Investment Advisory team, where she became involved in ESG investing research. After completing that internship, she wrote her undergraduate dissertation, “ESG Investing: The reinvented investment standard or a sustainable utopia?”
Barbara holds a BEng in engineering business management from the University of Warwick.
