China Food And Beverage: Falling In-Home Consumption Drives Slowdown

We expect sales growth for China's food and beverage sector to fall to 3% in 2023, versus 5%-11% growth over the past two years. Foodstuff sales will drive the slowdown on the back of declining in-home consumption. Beverage sales will grow faster than foodstuff sales, bolstered by increased outdoor activities and rising sales growth for bottled water.
