"We are in the process of commissioning and will be ramping up," spokesman Rick Rainey said in an email Friday.

The 175,000 b/d expansion increases the terminal's export capacity to 775,000 b/d. In July, the company announced more expansions, including another 260,000 b/d of LPG loading capacity to start up in the third quarter of 2020. When finished, the terminal will have more than 1 million b/d of LPG export capacity.

"Of course, three-four cargoes more can have impact to the global market," a trade source said on Friday. Another trader said more outflows were expected to boost freight rates.

Enterprise is also adding 67,200 b/d of propylene export capacity at EHT with new refrigeration facilities. When that expansion comes online in the fourth quarter of 2020, the company will increase its flexibility, attaining the ability to co-load fully refrigerated polymer-grade propylene (PGP) and LPG on the same vessel.

The company also is building an eighth dock at the terminal with capability of loading up to 840,000 b/d of crude, which would increase its overall crude export capacity to 2.75 million b/d. The dock is expected to begin service in Q4 2020, and will be able to accommodate a Suezmax vessel, the largest ship class able to navigate the Houston Ship Channel.
