15 million cu m/d volume impact to remain in place

Aasta Hansteen, Troll works continue Friday

Norwegian flows back above 300 million cu m/d

London — Norwegian natural gas production is due to be lower than originally expected in the near-term with works affecting flows to the UK having been extended further, Norwegian gas operator Gassco said in an updated REMIT message.

The works affecting gas fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf that deliver gas to the UK via the Entry SEGAL Pipeline System has been extended and will now not be resolved until the beginning of the November 29 gas day.

Production from these fields has been down since November 13 due to a compressor failure, with the volume impact slated at 15 million cu m/d.

Additionally, the restriction at downstream facilities that has been in place since mid-August remains in place, due to last until mid-December, also affecting Entry SEGAL flows.

Norwegian pipeline gas exports were running at 303 million cu m/d mid-afternoon Friday, higher than previous days due to the Kvitebjorn field returning to full capacity overnight.

However, production from the Aasta Hansteen and Troll fields were due to be 19.7 million cu m and 15 million cu m below full capacity, respectively, for Friday's gas day.

Aasta Hansteen was due to return to full capacity Saturday morning, with the Troll issue -- due to a compressor failure -- set to continue into the weekend.
