Brussels — The 1.3 GW Flamanville 1 nuclear power plant in northwest France is back online after a nine-month outage, but output will be kept at 70 MW until Tuesday owing to an unplanned failure, operator EDF said in a REMIT note.

EDF did not specify the cause of the failure, which it said started at 1.30 am (0030 GMT) Monday and estimated would last 24 hours.
EDF reconnected Flamanvile 1 to the grid on Sunday night, after taking it offline in April for a 10-year maintenance overhaul.
It was originally planned to restart in September but kept being delayed.
