Platts to discontinue duplicate USD.MYR forex assessment Jan 2

S&P Global Platts has decided to discontinue one of its US Dollar-Malaysian Ringgit (USD.MYR) foreign exchange rate assessments to eliminate duplication, effective January 2, 2020.

Platts first proposed the discontinuation on October 22:

The price symbol to be discontinued is USMYR00. In addition to the Platts price database, this is currently published on Platts Biofuel Alert page 0002, the Global Biodiesel Report and in Platts Biofuelscan.

The assessment under the symbol USMYR00 will be discontinued as it is identical to the value of price symbol AAWGA00, which also reflects the USD.MYR rate assessment and will continue to be published. Both USD.MYR assessments, USMYR00 and AAWGA00, are assessed basis a 4:30 pm Singapore timestamp (0830 GMT).

In addition to the Platts price database, the price symbol AAWGA00 is published on Platts Petrochemical Alert page 107, Platts Global Alert page 2160, LNG Alert page 150, Natural Gas Alert page 2160, in the Asian Petrochemical Scan and in the Asia Pacific Arab Gulf Scan.
