S&P Global Platts wishes to clarify the maximum delivery period for cargoes reflected in its Market on Close assessment process for LNG in Asia.
The maximum delivery period Platts considers for publication in bids, offers and trades in the Asia LNG MOC process is no greater than five days long. Information published in the Platts Asia LNG MOC process is taken into consideration for the JKM, WIM and MEM price assessment process.
This clarification follows an analysis of market activity and industry feedback that most cargoes traded in the spot market have delivery periods of no longer than five days. The standard delivery period for bids, offers and trades reflected in Platts Asia LNG assessments continues to be three to five days long.
Platts may publish bids, offers and trades for cargoes that carry different terms and conditions, but may normalize these when taken into consideration for the assessment process.
Platts invites all questions and feedback to LNGeditorialteam@spglobal.com and firstname.lastname@example.org.
