Platts launches E10 Eurobob Non-Oxy derivative assessments

S&P Global Platts has launched assessments of three monthly financial derivatives contracts that settle against its physical E10 Eurobob Gasoline barge FOB AR assessment (Code: AGEFA00). Platts launched its physical E10 Eurobob Gasoline barge FOB AR assessment on August 5, 2019.

The launch of the assessment followed growth in the market for gasoline with higher levels of biofuels, as key European markets transition to this emerging standard.

Full details of the Platts E10 Eurobob Gasoline barge FOB AR assessment are available in the following subscriber note, published June 26, 201: www.spglobal.com/platts/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/062619-platts-to-launch-non-oxygenated-e10-eurobob-gasoline-barge-fob-ar-assessment

Platts now publishes derivatives assessments for balance month and two subsequent calendar months.

These assessments are: Assessment name Code Gasoline Eurobob E10 Non-Oxy FOB AR Barge Financial BalMo AGEAB00 Gasoline Eurobob E10 Non-Oxy FOB AR Barge Financial Mo01 AGEAM01 Gasoline Eurobob E10 Non-Oxy FOB AR Barge Financial Mo02 AGEAM02 This decision follows a period of industry feedback.

This decision was announced in a note published December 31: www.spglobal.com/platts/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/123119-platts-to-launch-e10-eurobob-non-oxy-derivative-assessments

The metric ton-to-barrel conversion factor for the derivatives contracts will be 8.33 -- in line with the conversion factor for Platts' physical gasoline assessments.
