S&P Global Platts intends to discontinue publishing a prefix dateline signifying the location associated with a specific piece of content. The decision will be implemented on May 21 after the close of US business.
With the development of low latency wire services and now digital platforms, content is uploaded in many locations, globally, making the specific location associated with its production and publication less relevant.
Platts will continue to publish a timestamp, that is the time of day associated with the first publication of a specific piece of content, particularly on critical content used in our many price assessment processes worldwide, such as alerts known as 'Heards.' Please send all feedback, comments and questions to firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
