The large-scale injection of US supplies to global LNG markets in a relatively short period of time has significantly contributed to lower gas prices around the world. With the last two large-scale US liquefaction projects in the final commissioning stages, the specter of even lower European and Asian pricing hovers beyond the coming winter.

Madeline Jowdy, senior director, global gas and LNG for S&P Global Platts, examines the forces shaping the market.
