Listen: Is the Modi magic rubbing off on Indian steel?

India - the world's third largest steel producer after China and Japan - has high hopes that Narendra Modi, who became prime minister in May 2014, will get the country moving again after several years of weak economic growth. The country's steel sector hopes a re-energized economy, along with Modi's 'Make in India' strategy, will help it achieve its ambition of trebling steel capacity to 300 million mt/year by mid-next decade. Platts associate editor Charlotte Rao and managing editor Paul Bartholomew provide a "report card" on his progress to date and discuss whether the Modi magic is being felt in steel.
