Restart activities at the 816,466 mt/year steam cracker at the site southof Sarnia and abutting the US-Canadian border are expected to take "the nextfew days," company spokeswoman Roxann Good said.

Nova Chemicals on January 28 declared force majeure on ethylene, hydrogenand crude C4s shipments from the site following the shutdown.

Ethylene produced at the Corunna site is shipped via pipeline to thecompany's Moore and St. Clair River sites in Ontario, where it is converted toresin.

Sources say spot polyethylene sales may be impacted into the secondquarter, with a buyer source saying shipment delays were possible for contractbuyers. But it was unclear what -- if any -- decreases in volumes contractbuyers could expect, they said.
