No outright prices were given.
The statement follows the downwards movement of its feedstocks.
The January industry-settled European butadiene contract price was agreed down Eur60 on the month to Eur865/mt (996/mt) FD NWE. The styrene contract was settled down Eur15 to Eur975/mt ($1,122/mt).
The acrylonitrile contract typically settles at the end of the month. The spot market has faced downward pressure from weak demand and weak crude oil prices.
S&P Global Platts assessed the ABS spot and contract prices at Eur1,600/mt FD NWE Wednesday, up Eur40 on the week.
Approximately 58% of styrene, 25% of acrylonitrile and 18% butadiene are used for the production of ABS.
