Colonial did not provide details of what product leaked or how much. The pipeline has two booster stations in Bel Air, which is northeast of Baltimore, Maryland.

"Colonial Pipeline personnel have identified and isolated the release location and are in the process of making necessary repairs to facilities within the station in order to bring Line 3 back on-line by the end of today," the company said Thursday.

Line 3 carries 885,000 b/d of gasoline, diesel and other products from Greensboro, North Carolina, to Linden, New Jersey.

Market sources said the outage likely would not have an impact on spot prices for offline barrels in Linden.

Offline CBOB was heard offered Thursday morning at NYMEX April RBOB minus 17 cents/gas, its assessed value Wednesday.
