Jet fuel and kerosene stocks fell to 577,000 mt, the lowest level since August 31, from 591,000 mt the previous week.

Northwest European jet fuel traders continue to struggle to source product amid stiff competition from the US and Asia as global maintenance programs are under way.

As a result, regions have seen rising prices as each import hub fights to compete for any arbitrage barrels.

Prices in Northwest Europe have held at their highest levels since December 2014 but even this wasn't enough to attract one cargo of jet fuel from Jubail, which was seen fixed to take 75,000 mt to Australia in a unique arbitrage.

"No other choice: no jet in Korea, no jet in Singapore," one source said of the move.
