Norwegian saleable gas production -- which includes gas produced for LNGexport -- was reported at a preliminary 10.17 Bcm (363 million cu m/d) inFebruary, up 1% year on year but down 10% compared with January.

The February figure is 2% higher than NPD's forecast for February of 9.964Bcm, but still represented the lowest production since September last year.

Production during the first two months of the year stood at a preliminary21.47 Bcm, slightly lower than the 21.61 Bcm for January and February combinedlast year.

Production is forecast to increase during March in absolute terms to 11.005Bcm, which would be largely steady on an annual basis for the month, but wouldsee a monthly production fall to a 355 million cu m/d average in the process.
