Sao Paulo — Mexico's Economy Ministry has imposed definite countervailing duties on imports of seamless steel tubes from South Korea, Spain, India and Ukraine, regardless of the country of origin, the ministry said Tuesday.

Products subject to the duties are tubes with outside diameters of 2-16 inches, regardless of wall thickness, coating or steel grade, the ministry said in Mexico's official gazette.
These products are identified under HS codes 7304.1901, 7304.1902, 7304.1999, 7304.3905, 7304.3906 and 7304.3999.
The duties imposed were: 13.12 cents/kg for imports from Iljin Steel Co. and other exporters from South Korea; 37.85 cents/kg for imports from Tubos Industrial and other exporters from Spain; 20.67 cents/kg for imports from India; and 17.01 cents/kg for imports from Ukraine.
Mexican tubes and pipes producer Tamsa petitioned for the investigation.
