Pittsburgh — Following a sharp increase for January shipments, US stainless steelflats surcharges will dip slightly for Type 300-series in February, accordingto raw material levies published by domestic mills Monday.

ATI Allegheny Ludlum, AK Steel and North American Stainless publishedcold-rolled sheet surcharges for February with Types 304 and 316 stainless at59.52-59.55 cents/lb and 72.07-72.35 cents/lb, respectively.
Type 304 stainless is down from 62.82-62.84 cents/lb in January, whileType 316 is down from 75.66-75.7 cents/lb.
February's surcharge for Type 430 stainless was set at 31.99 cents/lb, upfrom 30.34 cents/lb in January.
Outokumpu Coils America had not released its February surcharges as ofMonday afternoon.
