The alert calls for transmission and generation dispatchers to reviewplans to determine is any maintenance or testing, scheduled or being performedon any monitoring, control or transmission/generation equipment can bedeferred or canceled.

PJM West Hub on-peak weekend traded in the mid-$60s/MWh onIntercontinental Exchange and was bid at $75/MWh and offered at $87/MWh around1:30 pm CST Friday.

Peakload was forecast to increase more than 19% by Sunday to around119,400 MW, according to the grid operator.
