Kaitori Okoku fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

Kaitori Okoku Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Nov. 30, 2014, came to ¥37.02 per share, a gain from ¥13.88 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥65.0 million, an increase from ¥24.4 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 4.6% from 1.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 6.6% year over year to ¥1.41 billion from ¥1.32 billion, and total operating expenses increased from the prior-year period to ¥1.31 billion from ¥1.29 billion.

Reported net income increased year over year to ¥54.0 million, or ¥30.75 per share, from ¥23.0 million, or ¥13.10 per share.
