Report: Deutsche Bank India CEO frontrunner for top job at Yes Bank

Ravneet Gill, CEO of Deutsche Bank AG's Indian operations, is the leading contender for the CEO position at India-based private sector lender Yes Bank Ltd., The Economic Times reported Jan. 15, citing two people with knowledge of the matter.

Yes Bank's board recommended Gill and Rajat Monga, the bank's senior group president, to India's central bank for the post in the week of Jan. 7. One of the sources said Gill is the frontrunner for the role at Yes Bank since he has already worked as CEO of a bank and is an outsider.

The Indian lender is facing a Jan. 31 deadline to find a replacement for outgoing CEO Rana Kapoor.
