Crystal Lake's maiden drilling at Newmont Lake confirms copper mineralization

Crystal Lake Mining Corp. said March 7 that its maiden drilling confirmed copper mineralization at the Newmont Lake project in British Columbia.

The program incorporated results of a reverse circulation drilling program of four holes totaling 550 meters. The company said each hole intersected copper-rich mineralization, with gold and silver associated with intense "skarn-style" alteration of the multi-phase intrusions and immediate host rock.

Drillhole BRRC18-004 intersected widespread surface mineralization, with highlights including 58.5 meters grading 0.31% copper, 0.27 g/t of gold and 1.41% silver, followed by a 1.5 meter interval from 118 meters grading 2.6% copper, 0.03 g/t of gold, 16.7% silver, 0.011% cobalt and 0.44% zinc.

Evidence suggests that mineralization strengthens with depth, the company said, adding that its diamond drilling program in 2019 will test the mineralized system over a broader area and at much greater depths.

Crystal Lake Mining holds an option to secure the project from Romios Gold Resources Inc.
