National Electronics Holdings fiscal H1 profit climbs YOY

National Electronics Holdings Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Sept. 30 came to 4 Hong Kong cents per share, a gain from 1 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was HK$40.9 million, a gain from HK$10.8 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue climbed 43.4% year over year to HK$836.4 million from HK$583.1 million, and total operating expenses climbed 27.6% from the prior-year period to HK$763.5 million from HK$598.3 million.

Reported net income rose 14.3% from the prior-year period to HK$81.3 million, or 8 cents per share, from HK$71.1 million, or 7 cents per share.
