Internet software company Remark Holdings, Inc. said March 5 that it will deploy its KanKan data intelligence as well as artificial intelligence technologies to approximately 11,000 CP All PCL-operated 7-Eleven stores in Thailand.
Under the partnership, Remark will equip CP All's 7-Eleven stores with artificial intelligence-based facial recognition and behavior analysis technologies. As a result, the Thai convenience stores will be able to monitor product levels on store shelves, improve customer support, give real-time analysis on its operations and assess crowd size for security.
The internet software company added that the collaboration comes after CP All's parent, Charoen Pokphand Group, invested in Remark in December 2017 to roll out KanKan data and AI technologies across CP Group's businesses.
CP Group holds a US$9.4 billion stake in Chinese holding conglomerate Ping An Insurance (Group) Co. of China Ltd., according to a South China Morning Post report.
