Indus Dyeing & Manufacturing fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

Indus Dyeing & Manufacturing Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended March 31 came to 5.41 Pakistani rupees per share, an increase from 5.20 rupees per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 97.7 million rupees, a gain from 94.0 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 1.5% from 1.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue totaled 6.46 billion rupees, compared with 6.44 billion rupees in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses came to 6.15 billion rupees, compared with 6.12 billion rupees in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income declined 13.4% year over year to 121.0 million rupees, or 6.70 rupees per share, from 139.8 million rupees, or 7.73 rupees per share.

As of May 5, US$1 was equivalent to 101.75 Pakistani rupees.
