Oceaneering International Inc. announced Aug. 13 that one of its wholly owned subsidiaries has been awarded a three-year contract by Equinor to provide a battery-powered remotely operated vehicle system to support subsea inspection, maintenance and repair activities.
The Houston-based offshore oilfield services firm expects the system to be deployed on the Norwegian continental shelf at depths up to 1,000 meters.
Oceaneering said work under the contract, which provides for two optional one-year extensions, will begin in December.
