Page Industries Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to 38.98 Indian rupees per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 43.08 rupees per share.
EPS climbed 32.1% year over year from 29.49 rupees.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 434.8 million rupees, a gain of 32.2% from 329.0 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 11.5% from 10.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 24.8% on an annual basis to 3.77 billion rupees from 3.03 billion rupees, and total operating expenses rose 22.5% year over year to 3.04 billion rupees from 2.48 billion rupees.
Reported net income rose 29.1% on an annual basis to 447.1 million rupees, or 40.08 rupees per share, from 346.3 million rupees, or 31.05 rupees per share.
As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to 62.20 Indian rupees.
