Tama Home Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended Aug. 31 was a loss of ¥38.76 per share, compared with a loss of ¥38.32 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥1.17 billion, compared with a loss of ¥1.15 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin fell to negative 4.1% from negative 3.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell year over year to ¥28.13 billion from ¥29.21 billion, and total operating expenses fell year over year to ¥29.95 billion from ¥31.04 billion.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥1.42 billion, or a loss of ¥47.28 per share, compared to a loss of ¥1.28 billion, or a loss of ¥42.49 per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of Oct. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥107.05.
