Chile's Banco Internacional places 30-year bonds worth 1M UF

Chile's Banco Internacional SA on May 25 placed 1.0 million UF worth of 30-year bonds, according to a May 31 securities filing.

The series F notes carry an annual interest rate of 2.8%.

The bank registered with banking superintendent SBIF three tranches of bonds for a total of 11 million UF in April.

A UF, or unidad de fomento, is Chile's inflation-indexed unit and was worth 27,078.77 Chilean pesos as of May 31.

As of May 31, US$1 was equivalent to 632.56 Chilean pesos.
