BP Energy Partners seeks $475M for 2nd natural-gas fund

BP Energy Partners, which is backed by oil tycoon T. Boone Pickens, is looking to raise $475.0 million for a second natural gas fund.

The BP Natural Gas Opportunity Partners II LP fund has so far drawn around $177.3 million in capital from 41 investors, according to a May 11 filing.

The Dallas-based middle-market private equity firm targets investments in energy-dependent industries and sectors along the natural gas value chain, as well as acquisitions of oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids in North America.
