Stream Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended July 31 was a loss of ¥1.54 per share, compared with a loss of 83 sen per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥36.3 million, compared with a loss of ¥16.5 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin fell to negative 0.8% from negative 0.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 42.3% on an annual basis to ¥4.57 billion from ¥3.21 billion, and total operating expenses rose 43.6% year over year to ¥4.64 billion from ¥3.23 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥22.4 million, or a loss of 96 sen per share, compared to a loss of ¥9.0 million, or a loss of 45 sen per share, in the prior-year period.
As of Sept. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥107.36.
