Ellington Financial files mixed shelf

Ellington Financial LLC has filed a shelf registration statement relating to the sale of up to $500 million of securities, estimated to calculate the registration fee, from time to time.

The filing covers the sale of the company's common shares representing limited liability company interests, preferred shares representing limited liability company interests, shareholder rights and warrants to purchase the common or preferred shares, and debt securities.

Ellington Financial plans to use the net proceeds from any sale of securities to purchase targeted assets and for general corporate purposes.
