Mkango to undertake exploration program at Thambani uranium project in Q1

Mkango Resources Ltd. plans to initiate an exploration program at its Thambani uranium project in Malawi during the first quarter.

Field work is slated to kick off following the end of the rainy season, according to a Feb. 2 release.

The company will undertake further mapping, soil and rock chip sampling, trenching and ground truthing of new geophysical anomalies, to follow up on the results of of an earlier geophysics survey and a previous exploration program completed by Mkango.

While uranium is the primary focus of the exploration, the company will also evaluate the Thambani license area for lithium potential.
