Russia's PJSC Lukoil on Aug. 28 reported profit attributable to shareholders of 181.2 billion Russian rubles for the second quarter, up from 167.3 billion rubles a year earlier.
Sales totaled 2.126 trillion rubles during the quarter, topping 2.056 trillion rubles in the prior-year period. The company attributed the increase to higher hydrocarbon prices and higher oil and refined products trading volumes during the recent quarter.
EBITDA reached 332.2 billion rubles for the quarter, increasing from 295.2 billion rubles a year ago.
Hydrocarbon production totaled 2.4 million barrels of oil equivalent per day during the quarter, climbing from 2.3 million boe/d in the prior-year period.
Capital expenditures amounted to 107.6 billion rubles for the quarter, up slightly from 105.7 billion rubles a year earlier.
As of Aug. 27, US$1 was equivalent to 66.55 Russian rubles.
