Wyndham Destinations said certain of its properties suffered minor physical damage from Hurricane Dorian, but the storm resulted in the loss of about 5,000 vacation ownership tours during the third quarter.
The loss was because of mandatory evacuations and the disruption of owner and guest travel in advance of, during and after the storm.
The company said the disruption to travel, especially over the Labor Day weekend, led to about $8 million to $10 million of adjusted EBITDA impact in the third quarter. It expects impact to vacation ownership tours and adjusted EBITDA to be roughly 6,000 tours and $10 million to $12 million, respectively, for the full year.
